Dear chitral: Well, to a layman like myself, I think California's energy problems can be directly attributable to ecology nuts. I remember years ago the idea of safe clean nuclear energy but NO it was too dangerous (though I understand France is almost entirely nuclear). Well, now we are in a bind and I dont see anyway easily out. I bet Calif. starts to lose a lot of business over this. JDN

Those suppliers prefer to make a profit for their troubles, i think. So they transmit it elsewhere.

"dereg" in calif was not really dereg.
