Globe - I agree with you. The system in place right now lacks compassion while encouraging greed and social irresponsibility. And that system is the two-party system, so dependant on corporate financing to get elected, that neither side is really willing to represent the people against the power of the corporations. For a start, we need meaningful election reform and fair access to the media by more candidates. I never again want to hear some talking head say, during the primaries, "XXX is a good man, but he just doesn't have the financial backing to be a serious candidate." No money = no chance.
