Scumbria,

I stopped at CompUSA recently. They had 1 GHz Piii for the first time. It was Sony. Sony is all intel in their desktop line. HP had less display space than normally. THey had only 1 AMD model, 1 GHz Athlon, I think 2 Celeron and 1 or 2 Piii. Compaq has finally jumped on Duron. THey had 2 Athlon, 2 Duron (700 and 750) models, 1 Piii and 1 Celeron.

Based on the stacks of boxes, they ordered a lot of Compaq Durons.

Joe

PS: They had 1 P4 - 1.4 GHz HP model for $2100 or $2200. I believe it's the one with PC-600 RDRAM. They didn't have the speed of memory displayed

Scumbria: Duron sales are hot

Using "old" chipsets or one of the new integrated chipsets (already)?
