Maybe AG is setting GWB up for the big win.

Yeah, that or a depression with millions out of work standing in food lines. Crime rates will go up 2000% because people can't feed their kids.

Bright guy this Greenspan. Give back 2 years of gains in a technology driven economy that would improve the lifestyle of almost every person on earth just to let Bush have a nice report card in 4 years. Come to think of it, he is probably that stupid.

dawg

yea but the Democrats will tell you that the market
sold off because of GWB, I bet.

Clinton was a real comedian when he was talking about the
economy the other day..... he does not seem to know very
much about it. And CLinton is a very smart guy, that's
what's interesting.

Question....Did Ag say "screw the republicans" and leave rates alone to screw up the market in the expectation that GWB might not be able to make it recover and drive us into a recession, thus getting everyone so pissed off with the republicans that we elect a democrat next time just to get out of it?

or

did GWB meet with AG and ask him to leave the rates unchanged, wiht a plan like you say to come in smelling like a rose when he gets an interest rate cut 3 days after taking office.....but thus costing all of us a ton of money in the big selloff today?

Last Question....is AG (the fed) an appointed post or is it independent? If so, was AG working on a parting shot or was he trying to make the boss look good and stay on at his post?

"Maybe AG is setting GWB up for the big win."

The US Supreme Court already propped Anheuser up for the "Big Win". How much more helping does this guy need?
