AG will go down in history as the "Killer of Technology".
I'd take the other side of that bet. Even if he stops the current wave, technology will take off again in the next economic cycle. Technology has been under development by our species for thousands of years; it won't stop now.

Economics is not an exact science
And NOBODY would argue with that! "If you laid all the economists in the world end to end, they wouldn't reach a conclusion."

Who would want to go back to the old banking system or looking through yellow pages or dial an operator to call your friend?
That won't happen; what has been developed so far- -at least the useful and economically viable parts- -will be retained.

The dot coms (may be not all of them) are viable businesses not given enough time to prove themselves.
I would argue with that. 90% of them qualify as the stupidest business ideas I've ever seen. As soon as people insisted that they demonstatrate that they could make money, they were doomed. And again, the useful and economically viable ones will survive.
