And as for a defense system, we have missles that knock other missles out of the air. We are defended although maybe not NYC

We have Patriot missiles which have very limited capability against old slow short range missiles. They are not quite useless but they are not very much better then useless. They have 0 capability to stop an ICBM. We also have experimental missiles or missiles in development which have much greater capability (The company I work for, TRW, is one of the companies working in this area). However we do not have any deployed any of these systems. The deployment is would take place as part of the "son of star wars" programs that you and Scumbria are attacking.

The intent of the star wars project was not a defense system but rather to bring global paranoia and hysteria to new highs...

I believe you are very mistaken about this, but how can you know some one's intent?

Tim

Ted,
RE:"The intent of the star wars project was not a defense system but rather to bring global paranoia and hysteria to new highs...the last thing this world needs."

Taking a class in Scumbrias "off the wall" comments?

I'm for more evaluation of Star Wars defense before proceeding but your statement is ludicrous.

Jim
