the market has no confidence in Bush
And why should they? Another old pick from the Cheney administration goes to Treasury. The white house is becoming a geriatric club.

President-elect Bush named Paul O'Neill, a businessman and veteran of another Republican administration, to be his secretary of the treasury ...... O'Neill, 65, has been chairman of Alcoa Inc. since 1987. He was deputy budget director under President Ford when Vice President-elect Dick Cheney was President Ford's chief of staff.

Looks like the market has no confidence in Bush AND the Republican Congress.

That's one of the key problems that these thread cheerleaders still don't want to accept.

It's the "AND" stupid!

GRIDLOCK was key. Dem Pres / GOP House or GOP Pres / Dem House.

These clowns don't get it and never will.

That's a load of crap. The market has been trending downward since at least April. Moreover, the market tank is related to the tech slowdown and fears over rising energy prices squeezing profits. Bush has no effect whatsoever. JLA
