I agree with Michael. I looked at the latest positions and I was confused as well. There was a long position in CMGI and then there was a greater offsetting short position in CMGI. QWhats that about?

The treasuries are there as security against the short positions.

Good answer Tommaso... I saw Tice on the O'Reilly Factor a couple of weeks ago and I was surprised to see him recommeding 2 year T-Bills over precious metals.

But my immediate thought was that he would want to have a sound base of collateral in place should he desire to extend his short positions.
