We roast with an apple and sausage stuffing. Asparagus with hollandaise (my wife makes it with butter and fresh lemons), yams with butter (no candying, baked in the skin), broccoli with a light sautee after boiling, some olives, perhaps a caesar salad. My wife makes an excellent vanilla bavarian cream (real vanilla bean) with creme anglaise and, if one likes, raspberries (canned, with syrup. Otherwise, you just have to sugar them anyway). Beaujolais, tres bien, but we usually don't drink wine with it, just iced tea. Habit, little drinking in our house. Anyway, that is an approximate description of our Christmas dinner for the last few years.......
