You are right I should give feedback. It was a situation where an individual asked me for additional input (beyond the interview). I gave what he requested at additional effort on my own time, and then he did not acknowledge or respond at all. He was also somewhat rude during the interview, as if he thought himself superior (I realize this kind of thing is commonplace, and by itself this wasn't unexpected). I just got a call from the other company (a similar position, similar interview), they liked my first set of interviews and want to bring me in. Too bad I lost out on Microsoft. As many of you know, I am a Microsoft bull. Perhaps not so much from the standpoint of being an American software guy.
