Scumbria,
RE:"Government = schools, police, roads, military, environmental protection, etc...
It is amazing how the right wing has corrupted the brains of so many."

Are you capable of a note without taking a pot shot?

governemnt= waste, overspending and non accountability.

I'm certainly for good schools, police, roads, military and environmental protection but I've seen enough waste to not be as trusting as you are. Government employees tend get too comfortable and spend a lot of time walling themselves in. The viability of many programs need evaluation on a regular basis.
Take the school system for example. Proof that simply throwing money at something doesn't always work. You can send your kid to private school here for less than half what the public schoolboard spends per student. I don't agree with GW on everything but I do agree on testing...
Not sure I agree on vouchers but it's obvious the public schools have failed miserably so maybe vouchers will give them a wake up call.

Jim

Government = schools, police, roads, military, environmental protection, etc...

1 - Its some of the etc. that I don't like having run by the government.

2 - We have all ready had many several debates about the environmental protection issue.

3 - Roads? What percentage of federal government spending is on roads? And out of the spending that is there a lot of it is pork.

t is amazing how the right wing has corrupted the brains of so many.

Lately it seems you can't make one post against ideas that you disagree with without also attacking the people you disagree with.
