That "internal memo", unfortunately, is the other shoe dropping. That is the downward guidance for the January quarter (Q3FY'01) in advance of a scheduled conference call. An "internal" memo like that sent to each of 35,000 employees (or whatever the number is these days) is exactly the same as a press release, and the Sun PR department knows it.
