Looks like my $40 price for MSFT is happening just as predicted a few months ago.

It is a buyer's market, everyone should bid MSFT at $35 and we will probably get it. There are people out there who have to sell for one reason or another, time to take advantage of it...

Is it just me, or have you noticed a pronounced dropoff in the use of terms such as "wealth effect", "new economy" on this thread? The presence of Dowd and Koehler is actually missed; like a circus without the clowns. Guess they can't hack it when things get really tough. Fairweather types for sure.

One of the first budgets to be attacked to improve earnings reports will be the IT departments. I can see a policy of no new PC hardware/software upgrades being mandated if the economy becomes soft. Any money available will go to improving the corporate network first not the desktop. This will be bad for MSFT if it happens.
