Hey Joe,

I just read the release..damn! What you thought was coming and a whole lot more. Hope Larry C. bought back in today. I think it kind of fooled everyone. The volume was there, but the movement did not indicate that this was coming at all. BTW you are at 7 5/16 in AH, last I checked.

My HM is over 5 in AH too. RDRT had some HUGE (1.7 million shares in one trade) in AH at 3. Hope it was a buy since it's hard to tell on AH quotes. I bought another 5k today at 3......they had better have a good Q report in Jan. or I'm done for!!!!!!

Ken

Will be interesting to see how the market reacts to CHK's news..Nice production increases, capex also..I especially like the oil hedge..These E&Ps like to trade on their hedges
"To reduce the impact of volatile oil and gas prices, Chesapeake has hedged approximately 27% of its projected 2001 gas production at an average NYMEX price of $5.00. In addition, the company has entered into collar arrangements for 14% of its gas production with an average floor price of $4.00 and an average ceiling price of $6.08 per mcf. Chesapeake has also hedged 63% of its anticipated 2001 oil production at an average NYMEX price of $29.72 per barrel."
