I see you just recently joined SI.

What can you tell me about your investment strategy? What do you like for the next 12 months? Do you use fundamental or technical analysis? What kind? Do you have any favorite writers in the investment field? What's your favorite part of the WSJ? IBD?

First, it is normal for experienced people from previous administrations to be tapped for the top spots in a current administration. Second, no one in his right mind doubts the ability of Cheney or Powell. Third, there is no particular reason for someone from Silicon Valley to head Treasury. Fourth, most people who invest are conservative or libertarian, and agree with Bush on the issues. Fifth, Bush is not anything like your caricature of him, and most people have, by now, realized that. Sixth, the main wild card is this: Will the Democrats let him govern?
