Guys can look at one another and understand what the other needs. When in the work mode I look to wife for help, she offers a critique of what I'm not doing to her satisfaction. I then respond that is all well and good but you still need to grab hold of this ladder that is tipping over. As I slide further down the wall while digging my fingernails into the plaster she will be nice enough to point out that I should not be on the top rung of the ladder and if I would have listened to her I would not have the present problem. I have now ripped chunks of plaster out with my fingernails but have halted my descent. After screaming some swear words at her and again tell her to grab the ladder she starts really winding up telling me that I should not talk to her that way and that her father never talked to her mother that way and then no, she sees the tears in the sheet rock from my fingers. Never mind that I am hanging by a thread, the sheet rock is scraped and the new wall paper is torn. She then lights off like the solid rocket boosters on the shuttle and can't be shut down. She then swats me which causes me to lose my last life line and fall to the ground breaking a lamp that her mother gave us. Now she winds up like the tazmanian devil at which point I comment on her intelligence and heritage. Now she looks like a tornado wearing lipstick at which point I wisely kick the dog and go to the bar. We don't do projects like that together anymore:)
