i bought before AND after. it's no secret that i went into my first batch of gold stocks too early. no problem though imo...feels like buying the Dow in Feb. '32 instead of July, if you get my drift. the convertibles are a head-ache. but they're only due in 2002, and the stock probably discounts that unhappy baggage by now. lots of things can and probably will happen between now and 2002. with Deutsche and the EU supporting them, and dissident shareholders trying to vote management out, i'll take my chances.
