CHASKA, Minn.--Entegris Inc(ENTG). here today reported revenues
reached a record $102.6 million in the company's fiscal first
quarter, ended Nov. 26, which was an increase of 43% from
$71.8 million in the period last year. The supplier of wafer
transport systems and materials containers for chip fabs also
reported a record net income of $18.1 million in the quarter
vs. $8.6 million last year.

"Industry analysts have become more cautious in their
outlook for semiconductor industry growth for calendar year
2001," noted Jim Dauwalter, president and chief operating
officer. "However, as the world's leading materials integrity
management provider, we anticipate second quarter revenue
performance similar to the first quarter and a healthy sales
increase of about 15% on a fiscal year basis, which would
provide a very strong comparison to our record fiscal year
2000 results," he said.

Entegris beat Wall Street's earnings consensus with a net
income of $0.25 per share vs. $0.21, based on a survey of
financial analysts by First Call/Thomson Financial.
