A sideways moving market for the next decade wouldn't necessarily be to bad from my point of view. If it was a fair market that is. Good stuff goes up, bad falls. But with this crapola going on...

The SEC has to be made much stronger though. Wasn't Joe Kennedy the first SEC chairman, and didn't he short the market back in '29 along with a cartel of bankers?

First, after getting those voting machines sorted out, Bush (or rather his team) has to make the market a fair game as possible. One of the reasons I think the Nikkie is so screwed is that a biased game is what those guys play with to start with. It's been true in business for some time now IMHO. You reap what you sow.
