Thanks Hiam ..

I'd gotten so used to the government ignoring oil prices going up that I've been ignoring inflation nunbers all together.

Labor is still tight .. not as tight as it was, but still tight.

The fed moves in small amounts. I seems to me that the first move, out the gate, would be a small one. In much the same way that the tightening moves had a small one to start off with.

The next couple of weeks will tell us a lot .. is consumer spending slowing? If it is then consumer debt just might be reversing .. good things for the fed and the public but bad for earnings.

This market is still trying to figure out what value means .. However everybody has been able to figure out who the greater fool was. The bad news: the fool is now broke.
