KLP the search engine that you used on infospace homepage is dogpile......the reason you see a cost figure there is because "goto.com" search engine has been given a top rating either number 1 or 2 mostly number one as the engine that is searched first.....further as far as I can see there is no way to program it such that some other engine that dogpile uses can be programmed to be first on infospace homepage...this is also true of hypermart and 100hot search engines..............the only place that you can program dogpile to do otherwise is on dogpile homepage but when programmed as such it does not remember your wishes if you use dogpile from another infospace homepage per above. I am sure infospace gets paid hansomly by "goto.com " to be the first search engine searched......

it would seem infospace management has made a decision that most people don't care much about which search engine they use so why not make it so that we make as much off this as possible.....as you can see this is all about money which is usually the case..... personally I don't like the above decision from a quality point of view but it is probably the right decision...... especially when you consider the fact that this company is being judged by most people based on what it earns now not what it might earn in the future.
