To be honest, I find the lower prices less scary than the higher. At least I know the probable direction, and no longer need worry about when the prick will hit the balloon.

You posted that you've bought some physical stuff. Thank-you for sharing this with us. The whole purpose of investing is to enable the purchase of things we want, wether now, or later. For others, it's a game. The gamers are those who pay close attention to the current score. The rest, recognize investing as a means to achieve an end. Your post reminds us of this.

P.S. Last year, I posted my prediction that Microsoft shares would decline early in the new year, reach two digit numbers, rebound, and finish the year at about $120. The decline was greater than I anticipated, the rebound slower in arriving, and the $120 price, well ....

Although I missed the bull's-eye, I did eliminate my margin, and so entered this decline in excellent shape for riding over whatever pot-holes the market decides to step into.
