I asked John Collins to follow up with more detail on Stayhealthy's business model and this was his reply:The company has focused on creating a business model wherein it will fully support the devices as follows: 1) What do these readings mean? If I have high body fat, low water content, etc. This extends into lung capacity, breathing function, blood pressure and so on. 2) Now that we have the readings, what next? Electronic health risk assessment tools are offered. When filled out automatic calls to action are provided. 3) These actions are supported with call center support, doctors, trainers, therapists, dieticians, etc. as needed. 4) Progress is followed and monitored using the devices which will clearly track results and compliance, with direct intervention as needed. The above will be implemented for disease and condition specific programs, supported by big pharma and employers. The important thing is that Stay is not just selling devices, like Sportbrain for example, with technical support at the Web site. The devices are only one part of an entire process that allows people to obtain whatever type of follow-up is necessary right at the site. It creates repeat visits that will be valued by advertisers, recurring revenues from subscription fees, and an "end-to-end solution" (as John mentioned yesterday) for corporate clients that should make more sense when the company announces their next acquisition or two. -Eric
