I think a tax ut would be dynamite, but it is useless to cut consumer's taxes. They will just waste it. A cut in US corporate income taxes this would powerfully stimulate investment and growth. Politicians are usually too cowardly to do what is economically desirable. Corporate income taxes penalize the successful and reward the losers. A company that has lost all of its initial investment and built up huge tax loss carryforwards may be quite valuable.
