Hi Patrick,

So you're responsible for the demise of eCommerce, eh? <VBG>

Heh heh heh...eCommerce has some great deals on books, etc.(especially with some of the recent coupons) or when I know what I'm looking for, but for some things I find the old fashion hitting the pavement the better route.

I think the Human Genome is being published in February in Science which could create some renewed genome hype? Stem cells are amazing things...it seems like every month they is a new article about new things that they can do...now if they can just make the transition to humans...they would really blast off.

She has 3x 18 Gig SCSI HD with RAID, 2x P3 Xeon-800, 2048 Megs RDRAM, running on NT. Dell gives a 3 yr warranty on their refurbs...she hasn't complained about it crashing on her...so I think the computer is holding up fine. She was running some CAD type pattern making/textile design programs on it, and she said it runs "A LOT FASTER" than the computers @ work...in that @ work their is a definite lag (I think they have a PIII 600 with 64M or 128M), while @ home there is no lag. She said I could trade on it, after it is hooked up to the internet...so I'm hoping she gets a cable modem or DSL soon...because it kicks booty on my p300 laptop : )

My father & I agree with you about the peace of mind with the turbo timer...but it drives my Step-mom nuts, as she doesn't want to leave the car until it shuts off. Thanks...I'll be visiting my folks for the holidays...they sold their house in Tahoe & moved to Reno (lower elevation...7500ft vs <5000ft...less snow etc) ...but it is still close to Tahoe...now I gotta drive an hour to go ride, instead of 3 min...it makes getting 1st tracks a little bit tougher, but I can live with it as I don't have to shovel shoulder high snow off of the decks : ) If there isn't enough snow & the weather permits, then I'll probably play some golf (so if you can get some fresh tracks for me please do so...I'll live vicariously through you ; )

Best of Luck,

WHG?
