WHile there are no guarantess to meeting estimates, I think Bing well understands the capacity coming online, and did so at the time he made his estimates. He could easily have said that SSTI was only going to grow earnings yoy at 50% and still have looked good. I don't think SSTI has been singled out in the recent carnage, so it is not a case of the TA contradicting the FA. The TA is probly right as far as the sector goes, but SST's products cannot just be produced by a competitor in a quick reaction to capacity availability. E.g. who else is making Intel firmware hubs (apart from Intel who is phasing their production of this line out)?
