More warnings:

TRW Inc. (TRW), the auto and defense systems manufacturer, warned it expects fourth quarter earnings per share between 50 and 55 cents, lower than the market consensus of 74 cents per share. TRW will also recognize after-tax charges of around $45 million, for automotive restructuring and asset impairment actions. An additional $25 million will go to a reserve for pending litigation. TRW closed at $31 5/8.

Internet media software company RealNetworks Inc. (RNWK) warned that its revenue and earnings for the fourth quarter will fall short of expectations, due to the current weak market for Internet-related spending. The company said it expects to report fourth-quarter pro forma diluted earnings per share of around 2 cents and revenue in the range of $58 million to $60 million. Street analysts, on average, had expected the company to earn 4 cents a share in the fourth quarter. Analysts at CIBC, WR Hambrecht, CSFB, and Friedman Billings have downgraded the issue this morning. RNWK closed at $9 15/16, last traded at $6.

Conexant Systems Inc. (CNXT), the maker of communications chips, warned it expects a Q1 loss, excluding one-time costs related to increased inventory reserves, of 5 cents to 10 cents a share. It was expected to earn 11 cents. CNXT closed at $20 3/8

Micron Technology Inc. (MU), the memory chips maker, reported Q1 profit of 58 cents a share. It was expected to earn 60 cents a share. MU closed at $29.81.

Another day, another warning from Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU). The maker of phone equipment said it will lose more money than expected in the first quarter and restate fiscal fourth-quarter revenue for a second time. LU closed at $15.50.
