you asked if AMAT big decline was in anticipation to the expected decline in b2b. yes and no. AMAT is dropping for two reasons in my opinion: 1) everyone knows when b2b peaks you better get ready to run . 2) the chip stocks and nasdaq were overbought and overvalued in March and now has to correct severely.

in the past, i seen semi equip drops while the nasdaq and internets, networkers were going up. this time the whole tech sector is going down.

personally, if we have a recession, i am guessing we can see the mid 20's for AMAT. despite that, i nibbled on some AMAT shares today for my long term position.
