I think that if Gore would have reached farther to the Nader voters he would have lost the middle. Was a no win for Gore in that regard.

c, What I meant by the RW hatred, was the Starr campaign, an almost 8 year "dirty campaign" against a person, that can only play defense.. A 50 million dollar "dirty tricks" campaign.. Starting with Whitewater and finally getting him with Monica.. Which was a slam dunk in our provincial society.. To lie about sex... is expected in this country.. and Clinton fell into the trap.. In doing so, This will suck off the votes (from anyone connected with the administration) from the wavering.. with that hangup.. And so, if the Left was of the same ilk, they could start "campaigning" against Bush, with a special prosecuter, The alledged insider trading activity with Harken, is a good starting point, about equal to Whitewater in dollar value, 600-800K if I remember right. And then who knows where it might lead.. JMO.. c
