jim..."housing and jobs" i'm not sure how strong they have been this year....selective markets will remain strong, but there has been some large scale layoffs this year in non tech areas... i think the real economy has been weak since 1997....even earnings of many large caps would not have been so great if you exclude investment income.... still i believe we are seeing a bottoming in the market...not paying any attention to the indices...more specific issues...high pe's still will be sold off on down days, more so then low pe's... good luck ed
