Sorry - this is OT but I just had to respond.
Andrew...Reading your post leads one to believe that you are a narrow viewed partisan who values their political affiliation over being an American.

Hmmm. And I suppose the steady drumbeat of pro-Republican, anti-Clinton diatribe I read here daily is an example of broad, non-partisan "American" values. What you're saying is that I have to worship Bushcheney in order to be considered a true "American", whereas it's OK to vilify President Clinton with a nastiness that harkens back to Republican apoplexy toward FDR.

What does, "free speech for reproductive choice overseas" mean. This sounds like an international traveller who doesn't want to cheat on their spouse but likes to talk about it.

Nice try, but I was referring to the "gag" rule that would curtail overseas family planning grants to any clinic that even mentions the possibility of abortion as an option.
