Wouldn't surprise me now that Merrill has pre-warned for IBM that IBM will come out next week with a warning. The most interesting thing to me is that the revisions to the fundamentals for the semiconductor industry presume a growing Japanese economy per Soundview. There would be more revisions to come after January reports. Should've dug out the Builders survey I saw yesterday that housing is about to roll over. Only one region was up in the latest report.

Not sure what cycles bottom in late January but also wouldn't surprise me to see stocks rally into the late January Fed meeting on a 50 bps hike hope this time and another bounce on bad news rope-a-dope rally. IBM is ripe for such a rope-a-dope now that the warnings has been pre-warned.

Alright. As I suggested, we did not get to the lows. Now we bounce real good, maybe only until the end of the day, maybe into the morning. Sticking with my strategy, I think the top of this bounce, if indeed this is the start of the next really noticeable bounce, will be the last chance to get in a down to new NASDAQ lows for months to come, bwtfdik.
