Saturn V,

re:"The extensive and massive vaporation of wealth could rapidly lead to a massive and prolonged hard
landing. I wish Greenspan sees the danger, and cuts interest rates immediately."

Greenspan has been overtly concerned with this very possibility for a long time, actually!

But I agree. The issue is: What is he going to do about it?

Saturn, I don't know where you live, but I live in the SC Valley and there was no April bloodbath in houses here. Hardly a pause. Now, as you say about right now, it's hard to say because few people move during the holiday. As for as the dot coms, there really isn't a concentration of them here as there is a concentration of hardware, software, network, etc. companies. Actually, I believe it's south of market in San Francisco that has, or had a plethora of dot com companies. This valley, being mostly infrastructure companies oriented, is what undoubtedly kept the real estate market so high.
