Last I heard the Intermedia deal is still on. ICIX is down due to heavy debts and short on cash for near-term operation. It could be a gamble play with high profits here. WCOM really need this deal for their longevity. WCOM is down due to T's negative outlook.

I agree that the market (whoever that is) is telling us the WCOM/ICIX merger is off or to be heavily renegotiated.

On the other hand, after reading the merger documents, I don't see any easy out for WCOM. If they walk, they get sued plain and simple.

I keep thinking I must be missing something here, but I have yet to identify what it is.
