I found that old TSC article I was looking for:

It looked at year-on-year change in monetary base.

On P5 of this Federal Reserve article:

stls.frb.org

it shows the (adjusted) monetary base change from the prior year. Bearing in mind that the market seems to lag these numbers by a few months, it doesn't look like relief is on the horizon, at least by this measure.

BTW, in searching through TSC, I came across a nicely bearish interview from early May that was to prove prescient:
