Selectric--I don't know if you researched the links to our discussion, but the statement was made that the homeless who got cigarettes in Wisconsin should get a job farming.

I responded with two points:

1) Becoming a farmer in America ain't easy, given that America's farms have become corporate farms. Indeed, the small farmers are constantly getting groin-kicked these days. Why would a homeless person wanna go from one groin kick to another?

2) Instead of the Gore campaigner giving out cigarettes to homeless folk in order to gain their confidence in order to have a discussion with them about voting, Bush's campaigners gave out scallops wrapped in bacon, shrimp and lobster. And, therefore, it's wrong to distort what happened in Wisconsin, especially in light of what Bush did going after fatcats for money and votes.

So let me ask you: Did Bush go after fatcats for money and votes? Did Gore? Well, now you know why I voted for Nader!

To All: Please stop calling me a DemoLib.
