"cell phones will smash the handhelds"

While I agree that an analogue to SUNW's "network is the computer" mantra will extend to the handhelds, I think the handhelds-derived products, such as the Visorphone from Handspring, are far more user-friendly than phone-derived organizers. Big screen is one advantage, and the avoidence of dinky physical keypad is another. Some may object to the blocky shape of the Visorphone, but ultimately we are all gonna use headsets anyway, so the shape of the base unit doesn't matter, so long as it's small.

Take a look at the new Samsung cell phone (SCH-i201) it's CDMA of course. But it is only available in Israel. Small phone, large screen for web browsing, plus an organizer etc. I want this phone!!! This is sort of what you're talking about.
