shamsaee,

<< Face to face the 2.5 system [1xMc delivered on an MSM5000 chip] beats the docomo's 3g system hands down >>

In what respect?

<< The standard body who set the standards need to be questioned as it involves a lot of people who have a huge stake in continuing with the status quo in the business. >>

The standards were created by most of the largest carriers in the world working in close cooperation with all of the equipment manufacturers of the world.

It is a little late for questioning.

<< Having seen what happened to the nasdaq this year those who pursue the wrong standard >>

"Having seen what happened to the nasdaq this year". any corporation that overstates capabilities or fails to meet expectations they themselves have set, will be crushed, in the current climate. I mean like - 57% YTD is crushed.

<< a system that is financially dumb >>

Perhaps you can explain to me how UMTS is "financially dumb" compared to cdma2000 (which hopefully will have an ITU compliant standard published by November 2001).

I am not talking about existing spectrum. I am talking about the IMT-2000 3G spectrum, that has been, and will be auctioned. There is no setting back the clock on what constitutes IMT-2000 3G spectrum, whether or not it should be auctioned, and what constitutes requisite interoperability in the global 3G3 initiative that will make it successful.

Qualcomm's "5 Points" were rejected long ago.

Time to get on with it.
