I used those acoustic couplers. LOL Heck, I'm so old I was taught how to design using tubes. I had this great teacher, who was the inventor of oven controlled oscillators. Also worked on the forerunner of the net for the government. He told this story of working at radio station transmitter as young lad. Have you ever seen a commercial radio transmitter? The tubes are five feet high and water cooled. Well he got the bug on finding out about how oscillators work by having to hit the tubes sometime to get them to work. LOL
