Hi,
That is sort of what I was thinking of about 1 1/2 years ago. What made me change my mind was the realization that in order for it to work I would have to put half of my funds in the bearish fund. At the time it seemed like NDX100 wouldn't ever decrease far enough to make it worth while. I started my AIM program in January 99 and because of AIM I am now just a little ahead of even. I was curious and ran a PCA simulation on UOPSX just a few days ago from 1/1/99 to the present. Much to my surprise it came up a loser. I had kind of expected to see it just a little ahead or close to even, but that was not the case. That's also the reason I wrote the post that I did. I was sort of hoping that someone had actually been using USPIX in an AIM program who could show me the error of my ways.
I felt that it would work theoretically but I don't think it would work in practice.
