No. I think the hair was something like really really really thin dough or maybe stringy sugar or something. I dunno. Those dang Greeks can do anything. Some old Greek momma was probably sittin' around one day and asked, "What would happen if I made some hairy looking sugar strings?" Then voila! Dessert.
