I think it's clear that by 2010 csco will have well over 10 billion shares outstanding...

I would guess closer to 13 billion, assuming slightly better than 5% per year growth in shares outstanding. Actually the growth has been higher lately, around 8% as I recall. I believe even 5% growth should keep the Cisco share count safely ahead of the world's population of humans for some time. Makes me feel so Malthusian...
