Tip, Yup, I usually prefer the individual names. But since Tom asked about the Dow, itself, I responded to that. I am still convinced that G.E. will get caught in its accounting maze. I love Merck. It has made me money many, many times at bottoms when I have bought it. But it sure looks pricey to me here and their pipeline doesn't deserve the pe ratio it's carrying, IMHO. Great co. Not going to go belly up. But cut in half? Very possible. In fact, very probable.
