I really wasn't intimating anything about whether the bottom has been reached or not. What I should have added is that there has been a stealth bear market in most stocks since Spring of 1998. Now could a stealth bull emerge before the cap-weighted indices show it? Maybe, but who knows when. I think a strong, solid upward move that has staying power will probably only result if it has the broader market behind it. That's why I think it is key to watch the Value Line Geometric Index for any clues. Ali
