Mutual Fund Outflows are huge--though to some extent this reflects capital gains distributions.

I heard on the news lat night that Trim Tabs was reporting more than $9 billion. AMG Data is twice that:

(click on the appropriate link)

The Fed is holding steady to slightly tighter on the money supply. M1 does not count any more because of sweeps done automatically to interest-bearing accounts:

federalreserve.gov

If the mutual fund outflows persist, there will be continuing very severe declines in the equity markets.

Mike,
I've read a lot of this before and I'm dubious. I mean its a nice story but I think this bubble, the 29 bubble, etc.
can all be explained with a lot fewer words:

People are greedy.
