Dual fuel plants ARE all on #2 oil now. I read it in a proprietary report this afternoon. It works out to be (very) roughly 50% cheaper per BTU.

Your logic about flow rates makes perfect sense. Wish I had thought of it :o(

But wait a minute here. The Alliance Pipeline is running now (but I think not at full capacity yet) and ends in Joliet, just outside Chicago. Is it considered part of the Chicago gate? It's a 1.3 BCF/Day pipe so I would expect prices near Chicago to be fairly low. Maybe it went down for some reason?
