Amazon.com inventory and logistics/fulfillment Does anybody know how Amazon.com manages the inventory and logistics end of their business. Who do they contract for this? I assume they have not developed a parallel infrastructure. Trying to get a handle as to why many electronics items are listed out of stock or back-ordered at Amazon.com, yet are available at other e-tailers that use TechData or IngramMicro for inventory management and fulfillment services. In particular, Amazon is nearly sold out of all makes and capacities of SmartMedia and CompactFlash removable memory cards. Why can't they tap into other inventories? Ausdauer
