There is no way it will be as dominant as MSFT was on the desktop. But it does seem a viable competitive solution that probably won't hurt a SEBL or ITWO much but may cripple the rest of the field

Which will help Siebel and i2 as much as it helps Oracle.

Tinker, one of the metrics I use in evaluating gorilla candidates is the strength of their management team. As resignations this year have proven, Larry is incapable of holding on to a first class executive team, and his well documented idiosyncrasies make many Oracle followers doubt the clarity of his judgement. I think this is a very important factor to consider before investing in orcl.
