chic...why buy puts, pay for a time premium, take cash out of your pocket, when you can short the underlying and add cash to your account....if you are buying options, then in the money strikes are what the true option traders prefer...why pay for an ever eroding time value....otm strikes be they long puts or calls are the basis of amateur hour...you want to select a strike that matches almost par the performance of the underlying...and most clowns or their respective killers don't understand this...
