Armstrong is trying to "trade" the puts owed to C&C for cable customers.

Ironic or humorous, I can't decide which. I guess he'd rather have the cash than the problems.

Perhaps reducing cable ownership to come into compliance with FTC?

Has to be done some way to avoid aggregation. I guess. Actually the FTC should give them special dispensation, the status of conferred market monopoly since it may be the only way to keep the technology alive much like what happened to salt.
